Released in May 1987 Kylie's debut in Australia was a cover of a Little Eva hit. Produced by Mike Duffy, it became the biggest selling single of the 1980's in Australia. Kylie's first international hit was her first single with Stock, Aitken & Waterman. Spending 5 weeks at the top of the UK chart as well as making the top 30 in the US. Kylie became the first female singer to have three consecutive chart toppers with her first three releases in Australia when this poppy number hit number one. A PWL remix of her debut release gave Kylie her third #2 hit in six months in the UK. This new version became her biggest US hit making #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. One of the biggest selling albums of the 80s in the UK and Australia. It contained her first four smash hits as well as six other europop songs.

Backed with new track 'Made In Heaven', this was the final release from Kylie's debut album. This song is also Pete Waterman's favourite Kylie track. This double album was in fact a re-issue of her debut album with some extra remixes of her famous hits, initial copies came with a Kylie poster. A duet with her Neighbours co-star and off screen boyfriend was made after huge fan demand. This track went on to become Kylie's biggest S/A/W hit. Initially intended for release in both Australia and the UK, this swingbeat pop hit ended up being another US hit for Kylie at the beginning of 1989. Despite no video being made for its release this single became a mega hit in South-East Asia when it spent 10 weeks at number one on the Japanese charts.

This compilation of Kylie's best remixes from 1988 was initially released in Japan and Australia. It includes a new remix of 'I Should Be So Lucky' When this fan favourite was released in April 1989 it became Kylie's third #1 in the UK. It debuted on the charts at #2, almost unheard of at the time A slightly more dance-orientated track, this was Kylie's second release from 'Enjoy Yourself'. In Australia it was backed with a remix of 'Made In Heaven'. Kylie's second album was another smash hit spawning four mega singles. The album had a distinct 1940's feel while keeping to it's pop routes, mixing ballads with uptempo tracks. When this single made number 4 in the UK Kylie became the first female to have her first eight singles all peak within the top five. Kylie performed this at the Smash Hits Awards 1989.

Kylie recorded guest vocals to this charity record at the PWL Studios in late 1989. It became the UK Xmas chart topper featuring an array of pop artists of the late 80's. The theme tune to Kylie's debut movie 'The Delinquents'. It was a cover of a 1950's hit by Little Antony And The Imperials. It was Kylie's only #1 of the 1990's. The b-side to 'Tears On My Pillow' became a massive Xmas seller in Sweden when it became the A-side. Released exclusively only in Sweden it sold more than 100,000 copies. Featuring a new harder sound and a sexier image, this record became Kylie's anthem. A real coming of age record it is considered to be one of pop's finest moments. With its funky guitars and bassline this track could have come straight out of the 1970's. The lyrics comprise of 1960's/70's bands and songs, and is another fan favourite.

Featuring 7 tracks by S/A/W with the remaining songs done with various US producers including Stephen Bray. The album mixes high NRG pop with swingbeat pop. Issued in Japan as a promotional compilation it covers Kylie's singles history from 'I Should Be So Lucky' to 'Step Back In Time'. This CD is a rare collectable item. A slight remix of the album version gave the song more energy. The song was originally meant to be the second single but instead was held back until the beginning of 1991. Remixed by DNA the single version includes a rap by Jazzi P. It was the first time that S/A/W had allowed another team in to remix their work. It became a major club hit in 1991. The first single from her 'Lets Get To It' album had a more R&B flavour. It faired less than expected when it became the first Kylie single not to make the UK top 10.

This duet with US soul singer Keith Washington got Kylie back into the top five. The ballad was promoted with Kylie's UK tour during the end of 1991. Produced by Stock & Waterman Kylie's final studio album for PWL was a soulful affair. Gaining critical success from NME and the like however didn't translate to sales. Acredited to Tony King and the Visionmasters featuring Kylie Minogue. This track is actually a remix of 'I Guess I Like It Like That', a classic rave anthem. Featured on the advertising campaign for Accurist watches, this Chairman Of The Board cover version became Kylie's final top 10 single for PWL narrowly missing the top spot in early 1992. Kylie's only single not to make the top 40 in Australia was this haunting ballad, the final release from her 4th album. It was recently revived at Kylie's 'Fever Tour'.

The second volume in the Remixes set included remixes of tracks from 'Rhythm Of Love' and 'Lets Get To It'. It includes the exclusive US remix of 'Better The Devil You Know'. Seen as an ironic message to PWL this brief return to her pop roots was one of two tracks written by Stock & Waterman especially for the 'Greatest Hits' compilation. Collecting all 19 of Kylie's hit singles in the UK and Australia was well as 'Turn It Into Love', 'It's No Secret', and brand new recording 'Where In The World'. Kylie's farewell single for PWL was a cover of her favourite song, the Kool and the Gang classic. Originally demoed in 1991 it was remixed for the 1992 release. This compilation gathers together 50 tracks from Kylie's career and joins them together in a 70 minute megamix. It includes a bonus remix of 'Celebration'.

This double CD set was originally released in Japan in 1993 before being repackaged for Australian release in 1997. It compiles the best of the PWL remixes. The second volume of the series includes rare track 'Getting Closer' as well as the Australian original version of 'Locomotion' on CD for the first time. Kylie's first release for new record label DeConstruction was an epic swirl of violins and breathy vocals. It became Kylie's first chart topper in Oz since 1988. Released as a double A side with 'Confide In Me' in Japan, this album edit was exclusive to South East Asia. Phone cards advertising the release were also issued. The stripped down packaging and ultra cool tracks gave way to a new sounding Kylie. Less mechanical sounding and more sophisticated it became a top five smash in the UK.

Produced by Jimmy Harry, this Christmas single is a heartbreaking ballad. Kylie performed this hit with a Fabulous Baker Boys inspired routine at the end of 1994. Remixed from the album by Brothers In Rhythm, the track became a sexy mid-paced number. Originally scheduled for a March release it finally appeared in July. This surprising duet with goth rocker Nick Cave recieved critical acclaim. A murder ballad about Eliza Day and her impassioned demise by her lover is Kylie's favourite song of her own. A disappointing chart peak for the first single released off 'Impossible Princess'. The Manic Street Preachers produced number was Kylie's first and only non top 20 hit in the UK. A semi-humourous jibe at Kylie's personality. This schizophrenic rocky tinged song became a favourite when it was performed live during her tour of Australia in 1998.

This Towa Tei collaboration is a stylised techno record. Kylie's ode to a typeface is chanted over minimalist beats. The song became an interlude during her recent Fever Tour. Taken from the soundtrack to Kylie's 1999 movie 'Sample People'. The track was remixed for club play and this 12inch includes fabulous Pound System Mix. Kylie's first single for new record company Parlophone. A return to shiny pop it gave Kylie the credit of being one of 2 females to have chart toppers in the 80's, 90's and 00's. Produced by Metro, this dance-pop classic was performed by Kylie at the Sydney Olympics 2000. The second single from 'Light Years' topped the Australian charts, her 6th in total. This compilation of the DeConstruction hits was released by BMG in 2000. It also includes previously unreleased songs and rare b-sides from 1994-1998. The third single from 'Light Years' was a pub-rock duet with Robbie Williams. The live performances with Robbie were filled with sexual chemistry that the tabloids loved. Despite being one of the weakest tracks on the album, 'Please Stay' was decided as the 4th single. A Spanish tinged slice of pop produced by the Biffco team. This single released only in Australia and Germany was a limited edition of 10,000 copies. It was only lifted from the album after fan petitions led Mushroom to release it. The biggest selling Kylie single, it sold over 1 million copies in the UK alone. It also climbed the US charts giving Kylie her biggest hit there since 1988, when it made #7.

This hypnotic minimalistic track was a step forward from the 'Fever' sound. Kylie's first single in a year was a massive hit making #1 in the UK and Australia. Kylie's 9th UK top 10 album was launched with a one-off concert for selected fans in London. Influenced by late 1980's funk/dance tracks it was another step forward! Released on the FMR label in Australia, this double CD package included all the hits from Locomotion to Cowboy Style. It also had the bonus tracks 'Tears' and 'Real Thing' This R&B tinged song is tipped to be another top 10 smash when it is released in March.
